These are the perfect days to visit ALKYONI and observe the remarkable work being done there. ALKYONI is a non-profit rehabilitation center and hospital for wild animals and birds. It was founded on Paros in 1995, with the aim to care for and rehabilitate all wild animals that are injured, exhausted or ill and wind up in the hospital. It is also concerned with the conservation of the fauna in the area, through environmental education, awareness and the cooperation of citizens and the protection of the biotope through data collection and studies and through informative state and legal (when necessary) procedures.
